Open Mind may not have the charisma or raw talent of the top colts in the Kentucky Derby, but she is as tough a competitor as any 3-year-old in the country, male or female. She proved that again today when she rallied to win the 115th Kentucky Oaks by 2 1/4 lengths over Imaginary Lady, her stablemate in trainer Wayne Lukas' barn. It was her sixth straight stakes victory-and, as in many of the others, she overcame adverse conditions with ease. On paper, the Oaks looked like a perfect setup for Imaginary Lady. She is blazingingly fast, and the other four fillies in the field had no speed at all....
