Army Lt. Gen. Henry H. Shelton and his aides stepped out briefly this evening onto the moonlit deck of the Whitney, command ship for the planned invasion of Haiti, and were pleased by what they saw. There were few clouds and little wind, fine conditions for a jump by the paratroopers that Shelton knew were already heading his way. "It's tough to beat this," remarked a general.
