A Chinese Olympic official said yesterday that he doesn't think there will be boycotts of the next two Summer Olympic Games if Beijing wins the 2000 Olympics, but he is angry that U.S. legislators are mobilizing against the bid. Asked about the possibility of a Chinese boycott of the 1996 Atlanta Games, He Zhenliang, an International Olympic Committee vice president from China, said, "We have already overcome what we had in the early 1980s {a U.S.-led boycott of the 1980 Moscow Olympics, followed by a Soviet-led boycott of the 1984 Los Angeles Games}.
