THE ODEON cinemas of the Thirties are celebrated for their ultra- modern look, largely derived from streamlined exteriors clad in cream- coloured faience tiles and outlined in neon at night. No architectural practice played a more important role in developing the house style than that of Harry W. Weedon in Birmingham, which Robert Bullivant joined in 1935.
