Brazilian giant O Boticario has made a donation of US$1m to support a conservation and protection programme for the Amazonian region.
The project is called the Amazonian Protected Areas Program (ARPA) and O Boticario's donation will help safeguard the natural resources of 50m hectares (or 310,752 miles) of forest over the next five years. It will mean the federal government, through ARPA, can guarantee biodiversity and promote the social economic development of the region, based on the rational use of the forest.
