Depending on how you look at it, Northeastern and Hartford were either tied for eighth place in America East with Vermont coming into yesterday's game, or tied for last in the 10-team league. It was the Huskies, however, who managed to escape the cellar behind Ricky Cranford (25 points, 6 assists, 5 steals) and Marcus Blossom (22 points, 7 rebounds) in an 85-80 win over the Hawks at Solomon Court.
