Even though he lives in the woods, John Brunett says he hears the drone of small-engine aircraft 50 minutes out of each hour. The aircraft, he says, originate at one of the many flight schools in surrounding towns, and find that air space over Groton is an ideal location for barrel roles and S-turns. "I live in the midst of over 100 acres of woods, and all I can hear is planes," said Brunett.
