New Jersey has enacted Industrial Site Recovery Act amendments that offer property owners financial security from future pollution occurrences and permit the sale of environmental insurance to cover the cost of pollution cleanup overruns. The new law clarifies many aspects of the Environmental Cleanup and Responsibility Act, which it amends. Environmental Compliance Services Exec VP David Rosenberg believes the new amendments benefit the property and casualty insurance industry by giving credibility to environmental insurance, and simplifies the pollution cleanup process for property owners. ...
