WITH their Leinster championship clash with Offaly just eight weeks away, Meath have found their preparations hindered with injuries to Tommy Dowd and Colm Coyne, while veteran defender Bobby O'Malley has announced his retirement.
All star Dowd tore ligaments in his right ankle during a recent training session and will have his leg in a cast for at least four weeks. However, he is hopeful to be back to full fitness for the Offaly game.
