Three new agriculture ministers were appointed this week amid political changes of various types in the governments of Germany, France and Italy Funke confirmed in Germany In Germany, the long-awaited confirmation of a new German farm minister finally came on Tuesday this week. As widely predicted (see AE1820, 16.10.98, N/2), social democrat Karl-Heinz Funke will take up office on October 26 along with the rest of Gerhard Schroder's SPD/Green coalition cabinet.
