Baltimore Orioles third baseman Cal Ripken was back in the lineup tonight after being a late scratch on Thursday with a strained muscle in his neck. Ripken played all nine innings in a 2-1 victory over the Florida Marlins, going 1 for 4 and making a diving stop at third base. The neck injury "was no more than a nagging-type injury," he said. "I've never had anything in my neck, but I've had similar sorenesses where I knew I could play through it and it might bother you for a while but it goes away."
