The National Broadcasting Company Inc claims ownership of some of the skits and other intellectual materials produced by comedian David Letterman before he left NBC to perform the Late Show with David Letterman on CBS Inc. In a press interview, Letterman said he expects no embarrassing confrontations. Jay Leno, whom NBC hired for the Tonight Show after Johnny Carson retired, expressed appreciation for Letterman's position.
