All you had to do was to send a solution for the "Goldbach Conjecture" to the publisher Faber and Faber, whichtwo years ago challenged Britons and Americans to prove, or disprove, the idea.
The Conjecture, dreamt up in 1742 by Christian Goldbach, suggests that every even number greater than 2 is the sum of two prime numbers. Thus 4 = 1 + 3, 16 = 11+...
