In an annual general meeting trading statement, catalogue retailer N Brown revealed that like-for-like sales in its core home-shopping business rose by a mouthwatering 11.1 per cent in the 20 weeks to 14 July 2007. Given that underlying mail-order revenue grew by 14 per cent in the 10 weeks to 5 May 2007, this suggests the rise was a relatively sedentary 8 per cent in the second 10 weeks.
