Selling larger-size clothes to older customers is not the most glamorous of activities. But chief executive, Alan White, believes that focusing on this core business is the key to N Brown's future. The company has already achieved success here, with operating profit for the core home shopping catalogue business (which accounts for 90 per cent of total revenues) up 13.6 per cent on flat sales.
