N Brown, which focuses on selling clothing to larger, older women, had results that largely speak for themselves. Like-for-like sales rose by an impressive 10.6 per cent, while the operating margin improved by 0.3 percentage points, to 14.3 per cent, and EPS shot up following share buy-backs.
