N BROWN, the Manchester-based home shopping company, yesterday announced a strategic partnership with GE Capital, the financial services operation, to develop the retailer's fledgling e-commerce business.
Shares in N Brown, whose main business is selling clothes to middle-aged and retired people through mail-order catalogues, soared to a record 745p but later eased slightly to close at 673p, up 40.5p.
