Bug-eyed tree frogs, imaginative winter-scene collages and sophisticated prints with balanced composition are among the surprisingly good artworks you'll find at K12 Gallery for Young People in the next few weeks.
The quality of the work is remarkable, because these 200 pieces were crafted by kindergarten through sixth-grade students from Mills Lawn Elementary School in Yellow Springs.
The exhibit includes many views of nature. The students are showing wildlife, still-life and landscapes. The mediums featured are watercolors, collages, tempura paintings, oil pastels, colored- pencil drawings...
