Canada, the United States and Mexico have reached agreement on a harmonised approach to BSE risk mitigation in North America, the US department of agriculture (USDA) announced on April 1.
The "science-based framework of risk management measures" is intended to help normalise trade in ruminants and ruminant products and to promote a BSE strategy that conforms to World Organisation of Animal Health (OIE) guidelines.
