NEIL SIMON's 26th stage play, Lost in Yonkers, at the Richard Rodgers Theater, could operate under many of his previous titles. The Odd Couple would suffice; so would Promises, Promises, or Fools. In a play that not only takes place in 1942 but seems to have been written then, a family struggles to stay nuclear. Eddie Kurnitz (Mark Blum), a recent widower, is forced to become a traveling salesman.
