Isabel Muir, 94, formerly of Depot Street, died early Friday morning at Angel's Inn, Watertown, where she resided. She had been ill for several months.
Mrs. Muir was born on September 20, 1911 in Natural Bridge to James Edwin and Lillian Miller Rice. She descended from one of the earliest families of Lewisburg. She was a 1927 Graduate of Carthage High School at the age of 15. In 1929, after two years of teacher training in the Carthage Training Class, she began her teaching career in a one room schoolhouse.
