BAR HARBOR - A Mount Desert woman died Saturday after she was ejected from her vehicle when it rolled on Route 3, police said.
The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. when Jennifer Carter, driving a 1997 GMC sport utility vehicle, drifted off the right side of the highway as she was headed toward Otter Creek. The GMC came back across the pavement, hit an embankment on the east side of the road and rolled two or three times before it came to rest in a small ravine next to a private driveway, according to Lt. James Pinkham of the Bar Harbor Police Department.
