In spite of the fact that Heathrow-bound jets shriek overhead with relentless regularity, there are few things more pleasingly prinked, mown, tended and, well, sculpted than the 300 acres of terraces, lawns, walkways, follies and Victorian hothouses of Kew Gardens in west London.
And now, for the next six months or so, we can not only wander serendipitously between the Temple of Arethusa and the Temple of Aeolus, but do so in the company of the largest exhibition of contemporary sculpture ever seen here.
