MISCELLANY European teams land 5 NHL players European hockey teams continue to open their doors to players locked out by the NHL. Maple Leafs defenseman Bryan McCabe and Columbus defenseman Anders Eriksson (HV71 in Sweden), Chicago center Tyler Arnason (Brynas in Sweden), and Phoenix defensemen Brad Ference (Morzine-Avoriaz in France) and Paul Mara (Hannover Scorpions in Germany) signed yesterday to play overseas during the lockout.
