Miller, Beatrice (Nee Leshinsky) Passed away Friday, February 8, 2008, at the age of 95. She was born in Porosville, Poland in 1912. Orphaned at the age of six, she immigrated to the US at 8 years of age as the adopted daughter of an aunt and uncle, Leah and Hertzel Leshinsky. She married her husband, Bernard Miller in 1933 and together operated Miller Scrap Metal and Paper Recycling business in South Milwaukee. Bernard died in 1984. Beatrice was an astute business woman and in 1967 Governor Warren Knowles appointed her to the Wisconsin Commission on the Status of Women charged with investiga...
