Microsoft has once again set a new standard in desktop flight simulation with the latest release of Flight Simulator. The deluxe version I tested offers highly realistic versions of some 24 aircraft, three of which (Beech Baron 58, Cessna 172SP and Mooney Bravo) can be equipped with Garmin GlOOO glass cockpits. And the overall realism of Flight Simulator's displays has been enhanced with more accurate terrain and more simulated traffic, both in the air and on the ground. For the first time, Flight Simulator's world includes cars and trucks that move as part of the scenery.
