Bienvenido a Mexico--welcome come to Mexico! Like the U.S. and Canada, Mexico is part of North America. But Mexico is also part of Latin America--the Western Hemisphere countries in which most people speak Spanish. A majority of Mexico's people are mestizos--of mixed Indian and European (mainly Spanish) ancestry. Mexico's official language is Spanish, but 6 million Mexicans primarily speak Indian languages.
