If you were to stop at just about any Protestant church in the U.S. and ask for the pastor, it's practically a sure thing that he would turn out to be a married man. The gender diversification that has been occurring in the American work force over the past few decades never made it to the pastorate. Ninety-five percent of Protestant pastors are male, according to Barna Research Group.
