MAURICE Abrahamson gave up stockbroking at the age of 67. He rapidly headed to the Bar Library to start a new career for which he had qualified in 1949.
The young Abrahamson had begun life as a stockbroker while simultaneously studying to be a barrister. When the day of reckoning finally dawned, he chose the broking road -- soon becoming the principal in one of Dublin's most respected small firms, Solomons Abrahamson.
