The former international centre in both league and union is a serious contender for a place against his old club in Saturday's Headingley tie after playing his first game for 11 months at the weekend. Mather, 29, played for an hour and scored a superb late try in Castleford's 74-16 romp at Salford and coach Graham Steadman said: 'It was a massive bonus for me and the team.
