Mother Goose rhymes can be used as effective teaching aids in mathematics for elementary students. Since young students are generally familiar with and enjoy the rhymes, teaching new ideas using the rhymes will become easier for educators. Language-development activities have been developed that integrate Mother Goose stories into learning mathematical concepts such as patterning, ordering and problem solving.
