New system for fibre-injection technique
* Fiberim, a new polyurethane system from Huntsman Polyurethanes, is designed specifically for use with the latest production techniques for reinforced parts made by long-fibre-injection.
The glass fibres vary in length up to 10 cm and are injected directly into the PU liquid stream as it is poured into the open mould. "Component weight, production cycles and material costs all have the potential to be significantly reduced," said David Gibbala of Huntsman Polyurethane's new applications development unit.
