City firefighters rushed into a burning New Holland Avenue home Monday night and rescued a man who has trouble walking. Robert Rowland, 59, of 420 New Holland Ave., was sitting in a wooden chair in his dining room and still talking to emergency dispatcher Trevor Barry when firefighters from Truck 1 fought through heavy flames in the living room, Battalion Chief Tim Gregg said. Rowland uses a walker for very short distances, Gregg said.
