Raymond A. Malys, 81, of 22 Paul Street, Auburn, died August 2, 2003, at the Finger Lakes Center for Living in Auburn after an extended illness. Ray was born on September 19, 1921, in Solvay, NY, the son of the late Albert (George) and Katie Malys. He resided in Auburn for the past 60 years and retired from the New York State Electric and Gas Company after 35 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army Air Signal Corps. He saw action in Africa and Europe and received the Eastern Service Medal. Raymond was an avid hunter and fish...
