An aspect of Mahatma Gandhi's life to which sufficient attention does not seem to have been paid is the nature of his mystical experiences. The reasons for this are not hard to divine. Gandhi has been considered largely as a political figure sometimes to the point of ludicrousness (Mosley 1961, 85-86).
