APDA's $495 Macintosh Common Lisp 2.0 development environment includes an EMACS-like editor that can be extended, good sample code and excellent documentation on both paper and CD-ROM. The product has extensive debugging and interface-building tools; programmers can create object-based controls for Macintosh windows, dialog boxes and menus and can work with the Common Lisp Object System (CLOS) standardized object model. The feature-rich debugger makes code testing easy, and the new version offers improved compatibility with System 7 features such as Apple events and virtual memory.
