With their numbers quickly dwindling, the memories of those who served are being preserved by the Library of Congress
Washington - America's 19 million war veterans are dying at a rate of about 1,500 a day. To preserve their stories, Congress authorized the Veterans History Project two years ago.
The Library of Congress, through its American Folklife Center, is collecting first-person accounts of the men and women who served their country during wartime.
