South African engineering firm Murray & Roberts (M & R) has been awarded a $143-million, 5-year contract to supply castings for Ford Motor Co.'s new 1.3-and 1.6-L engines for domestic and export markets.
According to Ford, the deal would create 150 additional jobs at its Port Elizabeth, South Africa plant and another 1300 job opportunities throughout South Africa in the supply base.
