Louis XII, King of France from 1498-1515, shares many similarities with Great Britain's Henry VII. Both kings focused on political security as their first priority, and both maintained the level of the royal coffers. Louis and Henry also believed in the importance and dignity of the monarchy, which they demonstrated through court ceremonies, entertainment and material culture appreciation.
