Several options are available to the gun industry to attract more women into buying guns. One of these is by making new products that provide lighter recoil, an advice that both Federal Cartridge Co and Winchester Ammunition heeded by introducing low-recoiling handgun ammunition. Meanwhile, gun shops can also increase their female customer base by selling logo T-shirts or by co-hosting shooting events for women's groups. To better understand women hunters and the difficulties they encounter, gun shop owners can likewise take pointers from 'Woman the Hunter,' a book by Mary Zeiss Strange.
