LONDON -- The sun is about to set on the library of the Royal Commonwealth Society, the world's largest collection of information on the British Empire. A mock wake was planned by employees, who were close to tears yesterday at the headquarters near Trafalgar Square. The society's director said the library will close within days because it is more than $5 million in debt and has been unable to raise any funds.
