It was 38 years ago, back in 1948, that Bill Levins started into the trading stamp business as one of the first salesmen for Gold Bond Stamp Co. of Minneapolis.
By 1956, when trading stamps were going great guns and available at every supermarket and gas station, Levin started his own firm, called the Freeway Stamp Co. He continued until 1960, when he went into professional ice hockey.
In 1972, Levins opened Trail Blazers Travel System Inc. of Oklahoma City, which has grown into one of the five largest local travel agencies with sales of $3.56 million in 1985.
