E-mail hasn't killed the art of letter writing. Just ask Lauren Barksdale.
Barksdale, a 23-year-old recent LSU grad, started her Elle Alexandra stationery business over two years ago, fitting it in between studying and teaching part-time.
Now she's increased her inventory to 100,000 pre-printed cards that she packages and ships as orders come in. Her work has caught the attention of national magazines like InStyle:Home and celebrities such as singer Avril Lavigne, actress Sela Ward and the Bush twins.
