HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- Leg weakness appears to predict increased risk for football-related knee injuries, Dr. Ian Pulliam reported in a poster presentation at the annual meeting of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. "The knee is the most common site of injury among varsity high school football players and a potential cause for significant morbidity," said Dr. Pulliam of the department of family practice, University of Texas, San Antonio.
