NEW YORK -- Lee Apparel Co., a division of VF Corp., has purchased Grupo Lee de Mexico, SA/de/CV, the current manufacturer and marketer of the Lee jeans brand for Mexico. Lee executives wouldn't disclose the purchase price.
Lee has been in a joint venture with the company since February 1995, as previously reported (DNR, Feb. 7, 1995, Page 12). Grupo Lee de Mexico (formerly Promociones Lee) has been a licensee for the Lee brand since 1987.
