Because of Debbi Wilgoren's Feb. 2 front-page article, "Exercises in Frustration at P.R. Harris," the school has been unfairly singled out as an example of everything that is wrong in the city's public school system. While we share the same problems as any other inner-city school, the situation is not as hopeless as the article would have readers believe. I can assure the public that my colleagues and I have not given up. We are hard at work implementing new strategies, trying new approaches and continuing our training.
