FRANK HADDENS positive noises that Scotlands second-string would do theircountry proud were drowned out at Murrayfield yesterday by an All Blacksmachine that never had to reach top gear.

The rather deluded prediction from the Scotland coach that his side had achance of running the All Blacks close was never going to materialise and, deepdown, Hadden probably knew it.

Over the 80 minutes, the Scots didnt even come close to scoring a try, althoughthey did at least keep the score to a reasonbly respectable 40 points.
