Lambert-St. Louis International Airport has accomplished something few other of the nation's airports have: 100 percent screening of cargo in the bellies of passenger aircraft. Using bomb-sniffing dogs, the airport's police department has established procedures and protocols--in conjunction with the Transportation Security Administration and the airlines--to inspect the cargo, even though it is not currently mandated by TSA.
