Before the season began, Larkspur Middle School boys track coach Darren Sanders told his athletes that 2008 would be their year.
They closed out an undefeated season with the school's second consecutive Virginia Beach Middle School League championship .
Outpacing their closest opponents, Landstown Middle, by 13 points, the Lions ran away with the city championship meet with a score of 64 at Tallwood High School .
