I have no hesitation in declaring my opinion that Kings Row is Korngold's film score masterpiece and, further, that it is one of my favourite 10 best-ever scores. Film music enthusiasts may remember RCA's 1970s "Classic Film Scores" series featuring the National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Charles Gerhardt.
